New Hampshire Ice Sampler!

Jerry and I climbed in Crawford Notch and Kinsman Notch Mon thru Wed and on our final day we climbed at two areas Rumney then Newfound Lake. Our main focus on this trip was for Jerry to gain the skills and confidence to lead and protect ice climbs, the sub focus was to climb as much as we could on the steeps.

This weeks weather has been fickle, cold then rain, more cold, now today its dumping rain out there. Despite this changing weather conditions are quite good at the shaded north facing areas.
The upcoming forecast looks to be staying with the same pattern, moderate daytime temperatures (20 to 35) all next week.

Enjoy the ice while its in shape as who knows what the conditions next month will be.

The Luck of the Irish - a beautiful climb.

Jerry climbing the technical route - Hanging by a Moment.

It was an awesome week on the ice. As you can see Jerry and I climbed a variety of routes at different areas.

Thank you Jerry
